Random Writing Exercise #22

Posted by Stephanie Hurd on June 8, 2011 in Uncategorized |

Write about a color as if describing it to a blind person. You can’t say something like, ‘green is the color of grass’ because this person doesn’t know what grass looks like. Try to describe the feeling of the color, the things it reminds you of, and possible tastes, smells or sounds.

Your job in this exercise is to make the blind person “see” the color. Afterwards, you won’t think of the color you chose the same way ever again.
